If you do nothing else to improve the value of your home you must clean and declutter. Some simple staging will help sell your home also.
Now that you have decluttered the kitchen all appliances should be cleaned inside and out. Remove all person items like magnets and photos from the refridgerator. Have a fresh vase of flowers on the kitchen table. Have the dining room table set nicely.
Clean all drapes, curtains and blinds. Keep your entryway clean and tidy as this is the first interior area a buyer will see when looking at your home. Create a good first impression.
If needed you can put large pieces of furniture in storage creating a more spacious look to your home.
Clean out all closets and have clothing hung neatly and shoes organized.
Get rid of any pet or food odors. Place fresh flowers, candles or potpourri around the house.
Clean all floors and rugs. Keep furniture and baseboards clean and dust free.
Make sure your shower curtains and rugs in the bathrooms are clean. And keep fresh clean towels hanging for guests. Remove all your personal items like makeup, hair dryers and curling irons from the countertops. Clean the inside of all cabinets and neatly arrange your items on shelves. Tub, sink and toilet should all be sparkling. You get the idea.
Don't forget to clean the garage. Clean up any oil spills and organize personal items.
That should keep you busy for awhile.
